A-JAX to perform as opening act at KARA's concert in Japan

Soon-to-debut K-pop boy band A-JAX has been announced to stand as the opening acts at KARA's upcoming concert in Japan this month.

A-JAX will be opening the Saitama leg of KARA's Asia tour titled "KARASIA" at the Saitama Super Arena on May 26 and 27, the groups' agency DSP Media announced through a press release on Monday.

Joined by some 32,000 fans, the boys are scheduled to perform a total of three songs from their debut album including "Never Let Go," which was revealed online last Tuesday.

"It is an honor to perform at such a big event before our debut. I think we would learn a lot by staging our performance in front of a large crowd. As we have earned a great chance (as a rookie group), we'll try hard to show our charm to the audience," the members were quoted as saying.

This will be the second time for the seven-member group to make a public appearance before officially launching their music career later this month, following after starring in MBC Music's reality show "Making the Star-DSP BOYZ" in late April.

Early last month, DSP announced that they will debut a new boy band in five years, which later was revealed to be consisted of Jae Hyung, Yun Young, Hyo Jun, Sung Min, Hyeong Kon, Seung Yup and Seung Jin.

Known for managing the career of first generation of K-pop idols Sechs Kies, DSP previously expressed their hopes for the group through a press release, saying that A-JAX could follow in the footsteps of its labelmate SS501.
