A-JAX, talent agency DSP Media's new boy band, is set to launch their music career simultaneously in Korea and Japan late May.
Having gone viral under their tentative team name "DSP BOYZ" before the official name was announced in late April, A-JAX is prepping up to make debut in the two countries at the same time, DSP said in a press release this morning.
However, the publicists added that the boys' official promotional activities in Japan will begin sometime in August.
The seven members -- consisted of Jae Hyung, Yun Young, Hyo Jun, Sung Min, Hyeong Kon, Seung Yup and Seung Jin -- already went public by appearing in MBC Music’s reality program, "Making the Star-DSP BOYZ" last Saturday.
Known for managing the career of first generation of K-pop idols Sechs Kies, DSP said in the statement that the firm hopes A-JAX could follow in the footsteps of its labelmate SS501.
DSP also manages the careers of KARA and Rainbow while A-JAX is the first idol group to be announced by DSP in five years.
