Korean girl group KARA has set another record for themselves in Japan, being selected as one of the popular stars in the country.
Their agency DSP Media announced on Wednesday that KARA has ranked at No. 28 as the only foreign celebrity on the poll conducted by a famous Japanese research company, Video Research.
They have outranked famous Japanese actresses Aoi Yu and Nagasawa Masami as well, according to the list.
Composed of Gu Hara, Han Seung-yeon, Park Gyu-lee, Kang Ji-young and Nicole, KARA is currently one of the most successful Korean girl groups to break into the Japanese market.
So far, KARA has scored the gold status with their album and DVD sales, which has marked them the first Korean girl group to achieve such feat following after songstress BoA and boy band TVXQ.
Meanwhile, KARA is currently on the Japan leg of their ongoing Asia tour "KARASIA" and will hold their show at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Tokyo and the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, both on May 16.
