SBS’ drama “Deep Rooted Tree” has received the grand prize at the Seoul's TV festival attended by internationally renowned producers and global drama fans.
The historical series won the grand prize at last evening's star-studded ceremony of the 2012 Seoul International Drama Awards [SDA], held at the National Theater of Korea in Seoul on August 30.
The honorable trophy went to the drama after being recognized as a top-notch program among 24 nominees from TV movie, mini-series, and serial and series aired from January 2011 to May 2012.
Some noticeable winners of the night were the same broadcaster’s “Rooftop Prince” and MBC’s romantic drama “The King 2 Hearts,” which gained the honor of Best Hallyu Drama and Excellent Hallyu Drama.
“Rooftop Prince” couple Park Yuchun and Han Ji-min were the two glorious stars last evening, receiving trophies for the People's Choice segment, which chooses the most popular actor and actress of the year in the small screen.
