MBLAQ's lead singer G.O. has decided to return to KBS' "Immortal Song 2," in just about a year after leaving the show last September."G.O. had the first shooting of this year's 'Immortal Song 2' yesterday and the episode is scheduled to air sometime in mid-September," a PR rep with J.Tune Camp told the magazine in a phone interview Tuesday. As a regular on the program for the next six weeks, G.O. will follow the show's format of re-interpreting original Korean songs from the past and singing them in live in front of the selected audience. For the idol singer who has had less chances to show off his belting strength in singing, possibly because of idol stars' typical image of focusing on their looks and distributing four-minute-long songs in parts to share with other bandmates, first proved his pipe on the popular weekend program in June 2011.Despite the mounting popularity of G.O. that even helped the show's ratings to rise last year, the singer stepped down from the program in September to concentrate on his main role as a member of MBLAQ and appearing in SBS' TV series "Phantom." Born Jung Byung-hee, G.O first made his debut as a singer in 2007 through another idol group TYKEYS. Two years later, he joined MBLAQ [Music Boys Live in Absolute Quality], with the group's other members, Seung-ho, Lee Joon, Cheon-dung and Mir. Currently, the boys are preparing to make their comeback with a new album in about five months after dropping "MBLAQ 4th Mini Album `BLAQ%Ver'" in March. ※ Any copying, republication or redistribution of 10Asia's content is expressly prohibited without prior consent of 10Asia.
