Big Bang [YG Entertainment]
Top Korean idols Big Bang and 2NE1 have been invited to a music festival in Japan, according to their agency YG Entertainment. YG announced that Big Bang and 2NE1 were named as part of the main lineup for the 2012 SPRINGROOVE which will take place at the Kobe World Memorial Hall in Osaka on March 31 and once again at the Makuhari Messe Hall in Chiba the following day. SPRINGROOVE, into its 5th edition, has featured performances by some of the biggest names in music including Snoop Dogg, Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, Ne-Yo, Rihanna, Keyshia cole, Akon, T-pain and TLC. This year, Big Bang and 2NE1 will share the stage with Japanese artists, American party duo LMFAO, French DJ David Guetta and songstress Pixie Lott. Big Bang, composed of members G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung and Seungri, made their debut in 2006. They have a number of hit songs under their belt including "Lies," "Haru Haru," "Love Song" and "Tonight." They are currently gearing up to make their comeback to the local music scene with a new album and their annual "BIG SHOW." 2NE1, formed of members Park Bom, CL, Sandara Park and Minzy, is one of the most popular girl groups since making their debut in May 2009. The girls will unveil a new Japanese album next month though its format and date of release has yet to be announced.
