Korean actress Yoon Eun-hye will return to the small screen with MBC’s new Wednesday and Thursday series after spending a year and half of her hiatus.
The drama’s promoter SL Company said in a press release Tuesday that the idol-turned-actress has been cast as one of the female leads in “Missing You” [translated title] opposite to JYJ’s Park Yuchun.
Yoon will take the role of fashion designer Lee Soo-yeon, detective Han Jeong-woo's [played by Park] first crush in their teens.
“Yoon has been considered as one of the most established actresses here thanks to her previous hit dramas. We thought her bright and outgoing characteristics fit well for the drama's female lead,” an official from SL was quoted as saying.
Teenage actor Yeo Jin-goo and Kim So-hyun of MBC's 2012 hit drama “Moon Embracing the Sun" will be teaming up again to play the younger days of the main characters in the 20-part drama.
"Missing You" is scheduled to air in November as the follow-up to MBC's Wednesday and Thursday TV series "Tale of Arang."
