Korean female idol Han Seung-yeon of KARA has been admitted to a hospital due to acute anemia.
DSP said in Monday's press release that Han entered a hospital in Seoul on July 7 after experiencing a severe headache and dizziness.
After seeing her symptoms worsen, Han has undergone medical examinations and has cancelled all her forthcoming activities.
Additionally, DSP added that Han was unable to attend the promotional event for the group’s fragrance label K5J in Singapore over the weekend.
"I am truly sorry to my overseas fans because I wasn't able to keep my promise to see them. I wanted to take part in the event so badly but I wasn't able to because of my hospital treatments. I will get plenty of rest for a fast recovery," Han said in the statement.
Meanwhile, the rest of the members of KARA will fulfill their scheduled activities abroad and return to Seoul on July 11.
Known for their hit songs "Rock U," "Mister," "Lupin," "Jumping" and "Step,” KARA is one of the leading girl groups in the current K-pop music scene.
Their agency added that the girls will focus on their individual activities before taking the stage at this year's "MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia" with solo artist Jay Park on July 28.
