Korea's talent agency DSP Media is debuting female quintet PURETTY in Korea and Japan this summer.
Consisted of teenage members, PURETTY will announce their official debut in Japan this August, while their local debut date is still tentative, the agency said in a press release on Wednesday.
The girls are the second K-pop group to debut under DSP this year, after A-JAX--or initially known as DSP BOYZ--released their debut album “ONE 4 U” on June 1.
Before kicking off their official singing activities, PURETTY has already made a public appearance in Japan by attending the International Tokyo Toy Show 2012 held in Tokyo for three days starting June 15.
Currently, an animated TV series of the girls’ story from the beginning of the training period is being aired in Japan, and they sang the theme song themselves as well.
Titled “Pretty Rhythm: Dear My Future,” the soon-to-debut idols’ animated TV show will also hit the airwaves in Korea soon, the officials said.
