KARA, Jay Park to take part in MTV music fest in Malaysia in July

Korean girl group KARA and solo artist Jay Park will perform at this year's "MTV World Stage Live In Malaysia" in July.

The annual festival's official website showed that KARA and Jay Park will be part of the lineup to perform at the music fest which will take place at the Surf Beach in Sunway Lagoon on July 14.

The K-pop sensations will share the stage with global superstar Justin Bieber and singer-songwriter Mizz Nina for the fest which will air on MTV SEA on July 28, while it will later be produced into a two hour-long television show to air worldwide on MTV's global network later this year.

Composed of Gu Hara, Han Seung-yeon, Park Gyu-lee, Kang Ji-young and Nicole, KARA is currently one of the most successful Korean girl groups to break into the Japanese market.

The girls are currently on their ongoing Asia tour titled, "KARASIA," which kicked off with their first show in Seoul in mid-February.

Jay Park, the former leader of boy band 2PM, who left the group in 2009, kicked off his solo career in 2010. He has released a number of singles since.

The "Know Your Name" singer recently rolled out his free mixtape titled "FRESH A!R:BREATHE !T" that covers genres from R&B to electronica. Including the title track "BODY 2 BODY," it lists "Be With Me 2Night," "Do What We Do," "William Hung," "Hopeless Love" and "You Know How We Do."
