LeeSSang's new single tops Mnet chart

Hip-hop duo LeeSSang's new song "I Turned Off the TV..." has debuted atop cable music channel Mnet's singles chart during the week of third week of August.

The song, the title track to LeeSSang's 7th album named "Asura BalBalTa," was released on August 16 and features songstress and rapper Yoon Mirae and 10cm vocalist Kwon Jung-yeol.

Accordingly, girl group SISTAR's previous week chart topper "So Cool" from their first full-length album of the same name was pushed down a slot to second place and 10cm's "Hug Me" from their new digital single entered the chart at No. 3.

On the albums chart, part two of the seventh compilation album by top Korean artists for MBC's reality show "I'm a Singer" took first placing after jumping 66 spots from its previous session.

The album was released on August 14 after the singers sang songs they were recommended to by the audience of the show.

This pushed down both the special album by MBC's "Infinite Challenge" and 2NE1's second mini-album by a slot each to second and third place, respectively, on the chart.
