Girl group 2NE1 has placed their name on the U.S. Billboard chart once again, making it the second time their music has entered the top slots of the prestigious chart.
Billboard's official website showed on Friday that 2NE1's second mini-album released in Korea on July 28, placed fourth on the World Albums chart for the week of August 13.
This is three steps higher than last year when their first full-length album "To Anyone" ranked No. 7 on the same chart.
Just last week, the girls' mini-album had claimed the No. 2 and 3 spots on iTunes' U.S. and Canada charts, respectively.
Back home, all the tracks to the album including "Don't Cry," "Lonely," "Hate you," "I am the Best" and "UGLY" but minus bonus song "Don't Stop the Music," have topped online and offline charts.
2NE1, formed of other members Park Bom, Sandara Park and Minzy, is one of the most popular girl groups in Korea since making their debut in May 2009.
The quartet will hold their first concert titled "NOLZA" at the Olympic Park Hall for three days starting August 26 and kick off their concert tour in Japan the following month.
