Korean Indie band CHANG KIHA & THE FACES will be making their official music debut in Japan in October, according to their agency Boonga Boonga Records on Tuesday.

An official from Boong Boonga announced that the group will begin its activities in the country with their debut single "Cheap Coffee" as well as their first full-length album "Living the Nothing Special Life" in October.

"We plan on holding concerts in November after the records are released in October," the official was quoted as saying, adding that the band decided to start a music career in the country by request of Japanese multi-instrumentalist Tokumaru Shugo.

CHANG KIHA & THE FACES is composed of Chang Kiha (lead vocals, guitarist, and percussionist), Jung Joong-yup (bassist and chorus), Lee Min-ki (guitarist and chorus), Kim Hyun-ho (drummer and chorus) and the Mimi sisters (backup dancers).

They have sold over 10,000 copies of their first album "Living the Nothing Special Life" and were the first indie band to have won the Golden Disk Award under the rock category in 2009 and the new artist award at the 36th Korea Broadcasting Prizes.
