Korean documentary "The Last Tundra - Movie Edition" has been presold to Japan ahead of its release in Korea, according to the film's distributor SBS Contents Hub on Monday. The critically acclaimed SBS documentary, which first aired in Korea on November 14 till December 5, was purchased by Japanese company Dragon Heart, making it the first documentary-turned-film to be presold overseas. "The Last Tundra," narrated by Korean actress Ko Hyun-jung and helmed by director Jang Kyung-soo, captures the life of the Nenets who are known as the last reindeer hearing nomads living in the Siberian tundra. The film also shows how Grecia and Goria, the two Nenet children, adjust to life outside of the Tundra when they are forced to attend the nation's boarding school. "The Last Tundra" will open in selected local theaters on February 17. ※ Any copying, republication or redistribution of 10Asia's content is expressly prohibited without prior consent of 10Asia.
