Six-member idol group BEAST celebrated a beautiful Thursday night with their second win on Mnet's music show with their latest dance tune.
The boys' title track "Beautiful Night," from their fifth mini-album "Midnight Sun," was named song of the week on Mnet's "M! CountDown" on Thursday, fighting off tough competitors songstress BoA's "Only One" and solo artist PSY's "Gangnam Style."
BEAST member Yang Yo-seop took the mic for their acceptance speech extending his gratitude toward their parents and everyone at Cube Entertainment.
"We also thank our BEAUTIES [official name of BEAST's fan club] for their never-ending support. I feel like it is my birthday today," Yang said before taking the stage for the group's encore performance.
BEAST broke into the music scene with the debut album "Beast Is the B2ST" in 2009 and has produced a number of hit songs such as "Shock," "Mystery," "Beautiful" and "Fiction."
The boys marked their return to the local music scene in over a year with fifth mini-album "Midnight Sun" and recently held their second official fan meeting in Japan with 24,000 fans in attendance.
