Five-member girl group KARA held their first official fan meeting in Japan over the weekend, according to their agency DSP Media.
On Monday, DSP announced in a press release that some 12,000 fans were in attendance at KARA's fan meeting titled "What We Want To Tell You, KARA JAPAN COMEBACK 2011" held at the Yokohama Arena in Japan on August 6.
The fan event kicked off with an opening video followed by KARA's performance of their hit song "Jumping." The girls then took the stage for eight other songs including "Lupin," "Wanna," "Jet Coaster Love" and "GO GO Summer."
"We waited a while for our first official fan meeting in Japan since making our debut in the country," the members of KARA were quoted as saying.
The fan meeting ended with their dance tune "Mister" and encore performances which included "Pretty Girl."
KARA, formed of members Han Seungyeon, Kang Jiyoung, Nicole Jung, Gu Hara and Park Gyu-lee, is one of the most successful Korean girl groups to break into the Japanese market.
The girls were recently named the PR ambassadors for the "K-POP Cover Dance Festival" and are preparing to make their comeback to the local music scene in mid-September with their new album.
