Several K-pop artists to take part in concerts in Hong Kong next month KARA [DSP Media]

A number of K-pop artists will take part in a series of concerts in Hong Kong next month, according to their respective agencies on Friday.

Korean female idols KARA, f(x), miss A and SISTAR will come together for the “K-POP Girls in Love LIVE in HK 2011” which will take place at AsiaWorld-Arena in Hong Kong on August 23 and boy groups 2AM, CNBLUE, FTIsland and ZE:A will grace the same stage for “K-POP Boys in Power LIVE in HK 2011” the following day.


All eight groups will take to the stage for a total of five songs each and ZE:A members Kwang-hee and Dong-jun have been chosen as the emcees to both events.

KARA, composed of members Gu Hara, Han Seung-yeon, Park Gyu-lee, Kang Ji-young and Nicole, is currently one of the most successful Korean girl groups to break into the Japanese market. They are preparing for their fan meeting in Japan on August 6.


f(x), formed of members Victoria, Luna, Krystal, Amber and Sulli, made their debut in September 2009 with single "LA chA Ta." They recently promoted title track "Danger" from their first full-length album "PINOCCHIO" and followed it up with "Hot Summer" from their repackaged first album.


miss A, composed of other members Fei, Min and Suzy, made their debut in July last year with "Bad Girl Good Girl." The girls have been dominating online music charts with title track "Good-bye Baby" as well as other songs from their album "A Class."


SISTAR, composed of other members Soyou and Dasom, released their debut single "Push Push" in June last year. The girls have been focusing on individual activities as well as making a number of appearances on variety shows.


Trained and discovered by major talenthouse JYP Entertainment, 2AM released their debut single "This Song" in July 2008. The boys have been busy with their Asia tour where they visited several countries in Asia to promote their album and themselves.


CNBLUE, composed of members Jung Yong-hwa, Kang Min-hyuk, Lee Jung-shin and Lee Jong-hyun, made their debut in Korea early last with their hit single "Alone." They are preparing for their concert in Korea which will take place in September along with their Asia tour.


Composed of members Lee Hong-ki, Song Seung-hyun, Choi Min-han, Lee Jea-jin and Choi Jong-hoon, FTIsland will kick off their Asia tour with their concert in Korea in August.


ZE:A (Children of Empire) made their debut with single "Mazeltov" in January of last year. They recently began promoting new songs "Watch Out" and "Heart for 2."
