Major Korean movie service provider CGV Cinemas will hold their annual film festival for foreign residents living in Korea starting at the end of this month.

On Friday, CGV announced in a press release that a total of 13 features from nine different countries will be screened at the 3rd Multicultural Film Festival to be held at the CGV cinemas in Guro and Daehangno in Seoul for two weeks starting June 30.

Indian director Rajkumar Hirani's comic film "3 Idiots," which delves into the current issues in Indian society, will kick off the fest, while the main program will include international features such as Hong Kong's "Missing," Japan's "Oriume," United Kingdom's "The Young Victoria" and Germany's "The Hairdresser."

The film fest will also feature some of the latest Korean movies including "Finding Mr. Destiny," "The Man from Nowhere," "Late Autumn" and "Haunters" with English subtitles as well as special lectures by film critics Sim Young-seop and Lee Dong-jin.

The Multicultural Film Festival, presented by CGV MovieCOLLAGE, first began in 2008 to raise public awareness of the importance of social perception on a multicultural society. The event also provides a place to socialize for Koreans and the multicultural population in Korea.
