Tickets for SM artists' upcoming concert in Paris have sold out, according to their agency SM Entertainment on Thursday.
SM announced in a press release that tickets for "SMTOWN LIVE WORLD TOUR in PARIS," to be held at Le Zenith de Paris on June 10, sold out within 15 minutes after website Live Nation and Fnac opened up reservations on April 26.
"SMTOWN LIVE WORLD TOUR in PARIS" will feature group and joint performances from SM artists including TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls' Generation, SHINee and f(x).
SM's world tour 2010 first kicked off in Seoul in late August last year and attracted tens of thousands of fans to their shows in Los Angeles and Shanghai. The event also placed at No. 10 on the U.S. Billboard Boxcore chart for attracting over 15,000 fans and raking in over one million dollars in ticket sales.
Just yesterday, SM announced that the world tour "SMTOWN LIVE in TOKYO SPECIAL EDITION" will take place in Tokyo's prestigious Tokyo Dome on September 3 and 4. The show was originally set to take place in early April but was pushed back due to Japan being engaged in various post-quake recovery efforts.
SM, founded by former singer Lee Soo-man in 1995, is one of the most influential entertainment agencies in Korea alongside YG and JYP Entertainment, well known for raising popular singers that date back to the times of H.O.T. and S.E.S. in the late 90s.
They currently manage the careers of some of the most successful K-pop artists including TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls' Generation, SHINee and f(x).
