Actor Baek Sung-hyun will hold his first fan meeting in Japan next week, according to press release by the event's organizer the Japanese edition of Korean daily paper Chosun Ilbo.

The upcoming fan meeting, which will proceed for about two hours, will include a Q&A section, a quiz show and offering of special presents. Baek also plans to shake hands with all the attendants after the show.


The press release also explained that Baek's fan meeting, set to take place at the Hamarikyu Asahi Hall in Tokyo on January 10, will also be attended by his Korean fans who will fly into Japan the same day since this will be his first fan meeting ever.

“Just thinking of meeting all my fans there makes me all excited already,” Baek was quoted as saying by the press release.


Proceeds from the fan event will be donated to Foster Plan Japan Office, an NGO group currently constructing a clinic center in Cambodia.


Baek, 21, made his first significant appearance as the child version of actor Kwon Sang-woo in “Stairway to Heaven” (SBS, 2003) and later appeared in “Elephant" (MBC, 2008), “The Accidental Couple" (KBS, 2009) and several films including “Marathon,” (2005) “Our School’s E.T.,” (2008) and “Blades of Blood” (2010).


“The Accidental Couple,” starring Kim Ah-joong and Hwang Jung-min, went on air on Japan’s private channel BS Fuji starting January 4.
