Korean singer PSY has spent another week on the Billboard chart with his groundbreaking hit "Gangnam Style."
PSY, short for "psycho," is continuing his dream run on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 2 for the fourth consecutive week, according to Billboard's data polled in the third week of October.
Still eyeing for elusive win against Maroon 5's "One More Night," critics here are pointing out PSY's temporary absence from the U.S. promotion in October, due to his already scheduled shows at college festivals and corporate events. The coveted chart reflects radio airplay, album sales and digital downloads.
Still, this is a record-breaking success for a Korean artist and it seems only a matter of time for the galloping star to recharge his popularity in the United States.
After he is done with making appearances on Australian television shows, including Channel 7's auditioning program “The X Factor 2012," PSY is heading back to his American fans to embark on activities for the U.S. debut album.
Meanwhile, PSY helped 14 lifeguards in California, who were fired last month by posting a parody video of the horse-riding dance at the city swimming pool, to get rehired after the musician's earnest request during an interview with an American broadcaster.
