K-pop female bands are shining bright in the Japanese music market with their explosive albums sales.
Girls’ Generation and T-ara have achieved the gold status after selling over 100,000 copies of their new Japanese singles "Oh!" and "Bo Peep Bo Peep," according to the Recording Industry Association of Japan's [RIAJ] report Monday.
The "Gee" singers are proving themselves as one of the most successful K-pop groups in Japan by reaching the gold status with the DVD "GIRLS' GENERATION COMPLETE VIDEO COLLECTION” as well.
Additionally, the "Gee" singers have nabbed the 'million' title with their first Japanese studio album, “GIRLS’ GENERATION," after selling over a million copies, the officials said.
Rumors have been surfacing that Girls' Generation may return to the local music scene and hold their Japan tour in the first half of next year.
Meanwhile, T-ara will release their pictorial booklet titled “PARIS & SWISS” Tuesday, according to a press release sent by their agency Core Contents Media last Friday.
