A second instalment of Korean hit TV series “Full House” is to air in Japan next week, even before it hits the airwaves in Korea.
“Full House Take 2” will unveil its first episode October 5 at 8 p.m. in local time on TBS Channel 2, Japan’s TBS-affiliated cable channel, the drama’s production firm Kim Jong Hak Production told the magazine Wednesday.
The Hwang Jung-eum and No Min-woo starrer is scheduled to air in China later this year as well, but the production is still in negotiations with domestic broadcasters on which channel it will air next month, the official added.
The romantic comedy was initially planned to air in Korea in May but no explanation was given regarding the delay here.
The upcoming sequel pivots around a hapkido teacher Jang Man-ok [played by Hwang] becoming a stylist of top idol group TAKE ONE--composed of the perfectionist Lee Tae-ik [No] and a free yet kind guy named Won Kang-hwi [Park Ki-woong]--and getting into a romantic relationship with them.
The original series, starring singer-actor Rain and actress Song Hye-kyo, was a smash hit not only in Korea but also in other Asian countries including China, Japan and the Philippines.
