He may not be the 1,000th man to love a nine-tailed fox but he will surely make some noise by making a surprise cameo appearance as a college student in the 80s.
Jinyoung, who has been pounding the hearts of B1A4 fans with "Baby Good Night," is to bring the retro romance of the 1980s by playing the younger days of Minkyu on the third episode of MBC "One Thousand Man" this Friday.
Jinyoung's scenes are part of the TV series' flashback to the 1980s and MBC officials said in a press release that the singer used horn-rimmed glasses and changed the hairstyle to pull off the role.
Minkyu is a man with lofty dreams that Mi-jin [played by Kang Ye-won] had once fell in love with. After breaking up with Mi-jin due to a trivial misunderstanding, he runs into Mi-jin again 27 years later. By then Minkyu finds himself no more than a 'goose father'--a man works and earns money in Korea while his children and wife stay abroad for education purpose--in his late 40s.
MBC officials hinted that popular hit songs from the 80s will also play a big role in making the viewers reminisce about the good old times when watching the episode.
Starring actor Lee Cheon-hee, actresses Kang Ye-won and T-ara's Hyomin, "A Thousand Man" began its air on August 17.
The story centers around Mi-jin, who seeks to find the 1,000th man she loves to steal a liver that will help her turn into a human from a nine-tailed fox.
