Korean actor Yeon Jung-hoon will reprise his role for the second season of cable channel OCN's "Vampire Prosecutor."
Along with Yeon, actress Lee Yeong-a and actor Lee Won-jong will star in the investigative drama "Vampire Prosector 2," which will hit the airwaves in September, the show's promoter CJ E&M said on Wednesday.
The officials said they already began filming last Monday and producer Lee Seung-hoon is once again in charge of the first vampire-themed Korean TV series.
"Vampire Prosecutor" tells the story of a prosecutor named Min Tae-yeon (Yeon) who hides his identity as a vampire and solves crimes using special powers.
The first season was one of the most-watched cable series during its two-month run in October 2011, and its ratings reached over the four percent mark, which was a record number for a cable show.
Additionally, the distribution rights for "Vampire Prosecutor" has been purchased by Japan's major film and video distribution firm Culture Convenience Club (CCC).
