Seven-member idol group Boyfriend is gearing up to make their comeback next month, according to their agency Starship Entertainment.

A rep with Starship told 10Asia over the phone today that Boyfriend just finished recording the tracks in their new mini-album which will be released on June 14.

"The boys have put a lot of effort into this upcoming album and we hope to promote it before the group focuses on their singing activities in Japan," the official said.

As the boys are getting ready to make their official Japanese debut at the same time, the promoters noted that they recently inked a contract with top Japanese Entertainment firm, Bing, to help their promotion there.

The group, which already met with the local media outlets for a press conference and interviews, will officially begin the activities in Japan by holding their debut showcase at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, Japan on June 30, where they will be joined by some 10,000 fans.

Boyfriend -- composed of Dong-hyun, Hyun-seong, Jeong-min, Young-min, Kwang-min and Min-woo -- produced a number of hits such as "Boyfriend," "Don't Touch My Girl" and "I'll Be there" since their debut in 2011.
