Korean actress Lim Soo-jung and actor Lee Sun-kyun starrer "All About My Wife" made a splashing debut atop the local box office over the weekend, putting up a strong fight against former winner "The Avengers."

During the weekend of May 18 to 20, "All About My Wife" was the most-watched picture in the country with 594,195 tickets sold, raking in a total ticket sales of 5.9 million Korean won since opening in theaters on May 17, Korea Box Office Information System (KOBIS) showed on Monday.

In "All About My Wife," Lee plays Doo-hyun who hires a casanova (played by Ryu Seung-ryeong) to attract his wife Jung-in, played by Lim, just to make it easier for him to break up with whom he believes is the 'worst-wife-ever.'

Falling to the No. 2 spot was four-time winner "The Avengers" which attracted 565,633 moviegoers during the same period, while director Im Sang-soo's racy film "The Taste of Money" bowed at No. 3 spot with 445,545 admissions.

Other features on the top ten include "Korea," "Dark Shadow," "The Cold Light of Day," "Mirror, Mirror," "Architecture 101," "The Lorax" and "Eungyo."
