Korean songstress IU and girl group T-ara took home the gold on televised music shows over the weekend.
IU scored another win on KBS’ “Music Bank” with her pop tune "YOU&I" on Friday, continuing her six week winning streak on the show.
"It's been seven weeks since I made my comeback and I thank all the fans for showing their support for my song. I also thank my family and everyone at Loen Entertainment," IU said in her acceptance speech.
On Sunday, T-ara won their first Mutizen Award on SBS' "Inkigayo" for their retro track "Lovey-Dovey," from their fifth mini-album "Funky Town."
T-ara leader Soyeon thanked everyone at their agency Core Contents Media as well as their fans for presenting them with their first win for the New Year.
"Lovey-Dovey" topped a number of online music charts upon its release on January 3 and continued to maintain its position on the top spots on a number of them.
