The popularity of cable channel tvN's series "Cool Guys, Hot Ramen" has carried over to the Internet, spawning the making of a web cartoon version of the show which has been gaining recognition as well.

A press release by the web cartoon's producer Oh Boy Project said on Tuesday that a new episode of "Cool Guys, Hot Ramen+" has been published on online portal Nate on Mondays since December 21, taking off from characters Ba-ul and Hyun-woo as 20-year-olds managing a ramen restaurant.

The TV show, starring Jung Il-woo, Lee Ki-woo and Lee Chung-ah, had ended its two-month run in December of last year with the ramen shop shutting down due to the area it is located undergoing redevelopment.

It had also scored the highest ratings amongst its competitors in the same time slot for eight weeks straight yet characters Ba-ul and Hyun-woo, played by actors Park Min-woo and Woo Hyun-woo, were supporting characters to the show.

The cartoon has been doing well too with over 1.8 million page views since its release and the number of visitors increasing by an average 32 percent per day.
