Korean singer Kim Hyung-jun has been cast as the male lead in an upcoming mini-series, according to his agency S-Plus Company on Tuesday.
S-Plus said in a press release that Kim will take on the role of a top star named Kang-min in the 12-part drama "She's Completely Insane!" (tentative title) set to air on KBS' cable channel KBS-N early next year.
"She's Completely Insane," helmed by producer Lee Jung-pyo, tells the love story between stars, writers and producers at a broadcasting company.
Kim made his debut as the youngest member of popular boy band SS501 in 2005. He signed with S-Plus Entertainment last year after the group's contract with DSP Media expired.
Kim has since starred in the musical “Cafe In” and made his comeback to the music scene with his first mini-album "My Girl" and led an active singing career in Japan after singing with AVEX early this year.
