Sistar to release 1st full-length album

Girl group Sistar will release their first full-length album next week, according to their agency Starship Entertainment on Friday.

Starship said through a press release that the album and the music video to its title track "So Cool," will be unveiled on August 9.

"So Cool" will be by famed composer Brave Sound, who has worked on the girls' past title songs "Shady Girl" and "How Dare You," and a teaser video to the upcoming track was released just yesterday.

Sistar is set to give their first performance of "So Cool" on cable music channel Mnet's "M! CountDown" on August 11.

Composed of other members Hyolyn, Bora, Soyou and Dasom, Sistar released their debut single "Push Push" in June last year.

Two months later the girls returned to the local music scene with their second single "Shady Girl" which ranked in the top 3 of several online and offline music charts.

The quartet's third single “How Dare You” which went on sale last December, too was received well, ranked on top slots of several online music charts.

Then in early May, members Hyolyn and Bora formed a sub-unit named SISTAR19 whose title track "Ma Boy" was received well, entering within the top slots of various music charts.
