Korean boy band BEAST's second Japanese single "BAD GIRL" has come in at No. 1 on a music chart in Japan.
According to Japan's biggest mobile website RecoChoku, the ringtone version of BEAST's upcoming single "BAD GIRL" came in first place on the daily music chart on the day of its release on June 7, while the album will go on sale on June 15.
"We want to express our gratitude to the fans for showing their love and support for the song in Japan following our success in Korea," the members of BEAST were quoted as saying. "
"It feels like a present that our fans have given to us with our song receiving such love and support," the members of BEAST were quoted as saying. "Also, we just celebrated our 600 days since our debut so we want to thank our fans for everything."
BEAST made their official debut in Japan in early May and held a special fan meeting in Japan for fans who purchased their Japanese debut single "SHOCK."
They were originally set to promote the album in Japan in March but postponed their activities in the country due to the earthquake and tsunami which hit the country on March 11.
Nonetheless, the boys have seen a significant start to their activities in the country, placing in second on Japan's Oricon weekly chart with "SHOCK" in mid-March as well as having the ringtone version of the song top the daily singles chart of Japan's biggest mobile website RecoChoku on the day of its release on March 16.
They have also released the music video of "BAD GIRL" on the group's official YouTube channel late last month.
The six-member boy band recently made their return to the local music scene with their first full-length album "Fiction and Fact" and collected several wins on various televised music programs.
