The Boss to begin activities as a trio unit

Members of Korean idols The Boss will begin activities as a trio unit, according to their agency Open-World Entertainment on Monday.

Open-World announced in a press release that The Boss members Mika, Karam and Jay will launch their trio unit activities under the name Popsicle, while their title track will be revealed Thursday.

Composed of other members Hyun-min and Injun, The Boss (The Boys of Super Space) made their debut in March 2010 with their single "The Admirer" and followed it up with second album "Awake."

The boys signed with Japan's Sony Music Record last year in September to release their Japanese debut album and officially launch their singing career in the country.

Popsicle will give their first performance on KBS' televised music program "Music Bank" this week.
