American R&B singer Jason Derulo will be visiting Korea next week to promote his self-titled debut album, according to record label Warner Music Korea.
Warner Music said yesterday that the singer, who will be arriving in Seoul on March 17, is scheduled to perform at a showcase at Club Heaven the following day, and appear on television for a duet with Korean singer Brian two days later.
The Seoul visit was requested by the American singer himself, who reportedly asked to have Korea included in his tour to promote his album as well as meet with various talented Korean musicians.
He has been set to meet with Brian of former K-pop duo Fly to the Sky, who recently recorded a local version of Derulo's hit single "In My Head".
Both the original song and Korean remake were simultaneously released in the country by Warner Music Korea last Thursday.
Born to Haitian parents in Miami, Florida, Derulo started his music career by writing songs for other recording artists including hip-hop mogul Diddy.
