2AM's comeback single sweeps music charts

Popular K-pop quartet 2AM has taken the music industry by storm, placing their comeback single "I Can't Let You Go" atop every online music chart in Korea on Friday following the album's release the previous day, according to their agency on Friday.

JYP Entertainment said the song, the title track from the boy band's first mini-album, topped all web-based charts including MelOn, Dosirak, Mnet, Cyworld and Soribada.

Others songs including "I'm Sorry I Can't Smile For You" and "I Love You" from their mini-album featuring a total of six songs, have also made it within the top 10 of the charts.

2AM will return to the stage with the ballad on KBS's music program "Music Bank" on Friday. The hard copy of their new record is set for release on January 26.

The group debuted with the hit track "This Song" in 2008. Earlier this week it was announced that 2AM's member Jo Kwon will join the cast of the new season of SBS variety show "Family Outing."
