Jang Seo-hee to become femme fatale in Chinese TV series

Korean actress Jang Seo-hee will transform herself in to a femme fatale in an upcoming Chinese TV series, according to her agency Jang Ruicy Entertainment. Jang Ruicy said on Tuesday that the actress will take on the role of Li Hua in "Heroes of Sui and Tang Dynasties" (translated title), which will begin its run on China's Hunan TV starting June 28. Jang's character later becomes the queen of the nation that shapes the Chinese history during the transitional period between the Sui and Tang Dynasty. It will also star Chinese actors Winston Chao, Yu Shao Quen and Dicky Cheung. "We felt that Jang had the perfect qualities in portraying the role of Li Hua. Also, her acting skills are great and she has shown great passion in her previous works," an official from the production company was quoted as saying. Jang is one of Korea's notable actresses since making her debut in 1989. She has starred in a number of TV series and even won the grand prize at the SBS Drama Awards in 2009 for her role in "Temptation of a Wife."
