Lee Jun-hyuk to star in Chinese drama

Actor Lee Jun-hyuk has been cast as the main character to a Chinese TV series, according to his agency on Tuesday.A press release by Wellmade STARM said that Lee will star in HunanTV's mini-series "童?二分之一" (translated into "50% of a Fairytale") with Chinese actors Janine Chang and Zixiao Zhu."I am nervous and feel a lot of responsibility since this will be my first time appearing in front of the Chinese viewers as an actor representing Korea...... I'll do my best to immerse myself into my project," Lee was quoted as saying in the statement.Lee first received attention in the China region with a brief appearance in smash hit Korean TV series "Secret Garden" (SBS, 2010) and then gained further popularity after starring in "City Hunter" (SBS, 2011) with Lee Min-ho.He is not a newcomer to the Korean entertainment scene however -- he first debuted through a music video in 2006 after which he appeared in over half a dozen dramas and a couple of movies.※ Any copying, republication or redistribution of 10Asia's content is expressly prohibited without prior consent of 10Asia.
