JYJ Kim Jaejoong eyes set on first Korea drama role

Boy band JYJ member Kim Jaejoong is eyeing a role in an upcoming Korean TV series which would mark the singer's first acting role in his hometown.An official at JYJ's agency C-JeS Entertainment said Wednesday that Jaejoong "is looking positively into" appearing in the new drama titled "Last Female Secretary" (translated title) and "will soon meet with local fans on the small screen for the first time."The show will be a romantic comedy that tells about female lead character Noh Eun-seol, who, after struggling to get employed for some time, manages to get a job as a secretary at the office of a conglomerate firm and falls in love with her boss.Actress Choi Gang-hee has landed the role of Noh while Jaejoong is looking into playing Cha Mu-heon who will be in a love triangle with Noh and her boss of the name Cha Ji-heon.The drama, which will be a 16-part romantic comedy helmed by producer Sohn Jung-hyun and scenarist Kwon Ki-young, is set to premiere after current series “City Hunter” starring Lee Min-ho and Park Min-young ends its run.Jaejoong, 25, is a member of trio JYJ which broke off from SM Entertainment's highly successful boy band TVXQ which formed in 2004.The idol star has tried his hand at acting as well but only in Japan so far, including in film "Postman to Heaven" in November 2009 and Fuji TV's "Hard to Say I Love You" in September 2010.※ Any copying, republication or redistribution of 10Asia's content is expressly prohibited without prior consent of 10Asia.
