SS501 Kim Hyung-jun cast as new emcee for Mnet news program

SS501 member Kim Hyung-jun has been cast as the emcee to an entertainment news program, according to local entertainment firm CJ E&M on Friday. CJ explained in a press release that Kim was named the main news caster to music cable channel Mnet’s news program Mnet WiDE and will lead the show with a female co-host starting next Monday.Mnet WiDE started its run in 2003 as the first daily entertainment news in the country. Kim, 23, made his debut as one of the members of the popular boy band SS501 in 2005 alongside Kim Hyun-joong, Heo Young-saeng, Park Jung-min and Kim Kyu-jong and produced several hit songs such as “Warning,” “My Girl,” “Love Ya,” and “Love Like This.” He also starred in the musical "Cafe In."
