K-pop girl group 4minute is to perform the soundtrack for the new KBS drama series “School 2013". 4minute is to release an OST album for the series according to the album's promoter, Hwiad.
The 5-member girl group's first original soundtrack of the new drama is titled “Welcome to The School,” to be rolled out on December 4 at 12 p.m. Korea time.
With powerful drum and guitar sounds, the pop dance track delivers the same message as the TV series, reflecting the negative sides of the current Korean school culture, urging listeners to act for change.
The fifth installment of the "School" series, which premiered on Monday, shows a variety of cast members from established stars such as Choi Daniel, Jang Nara, Lee Jong-suk to rookie actors Kim Woo-bin, Ryu Hyo-young and Kim Chang-hwan.
4minute, who broke into the Korean music scene with their first single "Hot Issue" in 2009, has had several dance hits under their belt including "HUH," "I My Me Mine" and most recently, “Volume Up.”
