K-pop group JYJ member XIA is wrapping up 2012, one of the most successful years in his career, with a solo year-end concert, C-Jes Entertainment said Wednesday.
XIA, whose real name is Kim Junsu, is opening the three-day exclusive concerts, dubbed “2012 XIA Ballad & Musical Concert with Orchestra,” at the COEX mall’s Hall D from December 29 to 31.
“The concert will feature all live orchestra, band and chorus. This is a fresh venture for a concert that has never been tried before. The concert will be filled up with Kim’s musical numbers, original soundtracks from dramas and ballad tunes off his album,” C-Jes explained.
“Kim has great capabilities as a singer and a performer. The concert is specially organized to highlight Kim’s unique charming voice. This will be an unforgettable gift for fans,” the show’s organizer was quoted as saying.
While his first solo record “TARANTALLEGRA" and English single “UNCOMMITTED” each sold 120,000 and 55,000 copies around the world till now, Kim has cemented his career as a musical actor by winning the best leading actor at the 18th Korea Musical Awards held last month.
The multi-talented singer, who has hit the road to six Asian countries and five American cities since May, will round off the continent-hopping world tour at Turbinenhalle in Oberhausen, Germany on November 30.
