Lee Hi, one of the most highlighted rookie singers this year so far, has put on her second crown on Mnet’s weekly music show.
Her debut tune “1, 2, 3, 4” grabbed the program’s trophy as a No.1 song of the third week of November on last night’s “M! CountDown.”
“I deeply appreciate my fans' support even though I’m not perfect in many ways……and my boss [her agency YG Entertainment’s C.E.O Yang Hyun-suk], I’ll do my best, and you’re the best!” the young diva said during her acceptance speech.
Since the retro soul tune was dropped in less than three weeks ago, it has been powerful enough on major music charts while topping Gaon Singles chart and Billboard K-pop Hot 100 for the 2nd week in a row.
Other K-pop artists graced the stage were Son Dambi, Hyuna, miss A, Epik High, Ailee, B1A4, AOA, Park Jung-min, Noel and Roh Ji-hoon.
