“Gangnam Style” Unstoppable on KBS “Music Bank” for 11th Week

PSY is now heading to rewrite Korean TV music show history, after hitting 11th win in a row on KBS’ weekly music show.

PSY’s international hit tune “Gangnam Style” edged out young diva Ailee’s “I Will Show You,” embracing its whopping 11th trophy on last Friday’s “Music Bank.”

Local media outlets forecast the global superstar’s amazing record will stand firm as long as his active international promotions carry on his domestic popularity.

Now attention is on whether PSY’s sensational “Gangnam Style” would break the current 14 weeks record for topping the longest time on Korean TV music show by veteran vocalist Shin Seung-hoon on SBS’ “Inkigayo" with his 1999 mega-hit tune “Invisible Love” [translated title]

Meanwhile, the energetic singer proved his undeniable popularity in the United States, selling over 2 million digital copies of “Gangnam Style,” certificated by Recording Industry Association of America [RIAA] on November 9 in local time.

The legendary music video has passed over 700 million views on YouTube, heading toward the-most-watched-video Justin Bieber's "Baby," which has recorded 798,474,887 hits on November 12 9 a.m. KST.
