Top boy group JYJ will serve as the faces of the 2012 Hallyu Expo organized by Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency [KOTRA], KOTRA said in a statement Sunday.
The male trio has been appointed as the PR ambassadors for the upcoming Korea Brand & Entertainment Expo [KBEE2012] and the appointment ceremony is scheduled at KOTRA's head office in southern Seoul on October 17.
KBEE2012, the biggest Hallyu expo outside Korea, is set to open at the Intex Osaka in Japan from November 14 to 16 to exhibit Hallyu contents and exported goods related to Hallyu.
A rep from the KOTRA was quoted as saying that they hope JYJ, one of the popular Hallyu stars in both Japan and Korea, to become the icon of harmony and exchange between the two countries.
The “Get Out” singers will rock out the stage on November 16 at 5 p.m. in local time and more events accompanied with the exhibition will be announced on a later date.
In the meantime, JYJ members have been keeping themselves busy with their ongoing solo activities.
Kim Jae-joong is currently readying for the November release of his film "The Jakal is Coming" while Park Yuchun is gearing up for the upcoming MBC series “I Miss You” [translated title] airing in November.
Kim Junsu, also known as his solo artist name XIA, has wrapped up his cross-border tour schedules in Asia and North America, revving himself up for the forthcoming European tour.
