Member of now disbanded boy band H.O.T Moon Hee-jun is set to deliver K-pop idol stars’ up-to-date news.
Mnet announced in a press release Monday that the idol-turned-TV personality has been appointed as the new emcee of Mnet’s entertainment news program “Wide Entertainment News."
“Moon has a deep understanding in the entertainment industry thanks to his long career in the business. He is witty and quickly reacting to sudden situations,” the show’s producer said, disclosing the reason for choosing Moon as host of the live program that has gone through a renewal.
Last night was the first day of airing the renewed episode and the original host Lee Sol-ji to introduce new sub-programs such as Monday' s"Stark Talk," Tuesday's "Image Fighter" and Wednesday's "Killing Camp," featuring idol group B.A.P.
“My heart already flutters to meet the audience everyday in live broadcast. I’ll try to be an all-around emcee who delivers detailed information and entertains guests and the viewers," Moon showed his resolution in the statement.
Moon's talent to host a show has already been proven through “Idol United” (MTV, 2010), “Dancing with the Stars” (MBC, 2011) and “Immortal Song - Season 1” (KBS, 2007-2009).
"Wide Entertainment News" is one of the oldest and popular entertainment news programs here that began airing in 2003. The former host Hong Jong-hyun is currently shooting KBS' new drama "Jeon Woochi" [translated title] alongside After School's U-IE and actor Cha Tae-hyun.
