T-ara member Hahm Eunjung has reportedly filed a suit against the production company of SBS’ ongoing weekend TV series.

Hahm is seeking around 148 million won [about 133,000 U.S. dollars] in compensatory damages to her reputation as a singer and actor, for Yein E&M forcing her to step down from "Five Fingers," Korea's entertainment news agency Sports DongA reported Friday.

The news began to spread online earlier this morning by several local media outlets reporting that Hahm was belatedly known to have filed a law suit against the firm.

"Hahm was kicked out from "Five Fingers" by the production company without any prior notice. We sued the firm to recover Hahm's reputation," the idol's agency Core Contents Media was quoted as saying.

The singer and actor was originally cast as one of the female leads in the drama and even attended the drama's press conference and a script reading session.

However, Yein E&M and SBS officials made the last minute change before she took part in her first shooting for the fifth episode, as the officials worried the bullying controversy over T-ara members could damage the image of the show and overseas sales.
