Top Korean rock band CNBLUE, who have been named as the new faces for family restaurant T.G.I.Friday's, released a song today to promote the restaurant chain.

FNC Entertainment announced Tuesday that CNBLUE's song titled "Friday," written and composed by frontman Jung Yong-hwa, has been streamed on various online music distribution websites.

The song fits the image of T.G.I.Friday's with its lyrics singing of a joyous place where they can celebrate a fun Friday night, while other keywords in the song include cocktails, parties, romance, freedom and fun.

"We feel that Jung's song fits perfectly with the overall positive atmosphere of T.G.I.Friday's," a rep with the restaurant was quoted as saying.

Meanwhile, CNBLUE's special reality program "it City-CNBLUE's Love on Party" will begin its run on cable network O'live next weekend.

The show will feature the members experience firsthand on making cocktails as well as becoming bartenders, while scenes from the program will be included in the music video for "Friday."

In the meantime, CNBLUE will resume their singing activities in Japan with their third Japanese single titled, "Come on," featuring the title track of the same name and "Wake Up" and "Miracle," which will go on sale on August 1.

The group will also embark on their first arena tour where they will hold a total of nine shows in six cities throughout Japan starting with the first two performances at the Nippon Gaishi Hall in Nagoya on October 2 and 3.

They will then visit the Toki Messi in Niigata on October 7, the Osaka-Jo Hall in Osaka on October 7 and 10 and Hiroshima Green Arena in Hiroshima on October 13, the Shizuoka Ecopa Arena in Shizuoka on October 16 and wrap up the long run at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama on October 20 and 21.
