A number of big name K-pop artists have been added to the lineup of Japan's "a-nation stadium fes" to shake off the heat this summer.
The festival's organizers revealed through its official website that K-pop icons Big Bang, TVXQ! and Super Junior are to join the Tokyo leg of the annual music fest, which is set to be held at the Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo on August 25 and 26.
At the indoor festival, Super Junior and TVXQ! will perform on the first day and Big Bang and U-Kiss will receive the baton to bring more K-pop music to Japanese music fans the next day.
TVXQ!, meanwhile, has an additional stop before flying to Tokyo. The duo will stop in Osaka on August 19 to perform at the Osaka leg of the music fest, which will be held at the Nagai Stadium, joined by an estimated 50,000 fans there.
Music company AVEX hosts the "a-nation" fest every year and it is divided into two categories: "a-nation music week" and "a-nation stadium fest."
Into its 12th year, the event's officials previously announced that Big Bang's labelmates 2NE1, boy band U-Kiss, soon-to-debut group A-JAX and rookie idols SHUI are other Korean artists that will grace the stage of "a-nation musicweek," which will open at the Yoyogi National First Gymnasium in Tokyo between August 3 and 12.
Since its beginning in 2002, the a-nation musicweek presented performances by A-list acts including Ayumi Hamasaki, Kumi Koda, BoA and TVXQ!
