CNBLUE's guitarist and vocalist Lee Jong-hyun has joined top actor Jang Dong-gun and actress Kim Ha-neul in an upcoming SBS TV series.
A PR rep with his agency FNC Music told 10Asia over the phone on Wednesday that Lee recently signed on for SBS' "Dignity of a Gentleman" (translated title) set to premiere in May.
"However, we will unveil the details about Lee's character and what role he will play on a later date," the official explained.
"Gentleman," written by "Secret Garden" scenarist Kim Eun-sook, will tell the love story of four men in their forties. The series will also star actors Kim Suro, Kim Min-jong and Kim Min.
Lee made his first acting debut with a role in the omnibus film "Acoustic" with his fellow bandmate Kang Min-hyuk in 2010. As a member of CNBLUE, the group is currently preparing to make their comeback to the local music scene with the third mini-album.
