Girl group After School member Kahi is considering a role in the second season of hit series "Dream High."

An official with her agency Pledis told 10Asia over the phone on Thursday that Kahi has been offered the role of a teacher in the show set to air in January of next year.

However, he emphasized that a decision has yet to be made, although the related parties are "positively eyeing the show," downplaying reports from earlier in the day that said she has been set for the series.

Just today, singer-producer Park Jin-young was confirmed for "Dream High 2" and actress Kang Sora, as well as idol stars Jeong Jinwoon of boy band 2AM, Hyolyn of girl group SISTAR and Jiyeon of T-ara were decided as members of the cast at an earlier date.

The upcoming show, telling of students attending a performing arts school aimed at cultivating celebrities, is set for a premiere on January 30 of next year.

Kahi, 30, is the leader of her eight-member girl group which has been a popular K-pop act in Korea since their debut in the country in 2009.

She is currently in Japan, where her girl group expanded their singing career to this summer, to promote their second single 'Diva' which hit stores two weeks ago.
